It seemed that as the weekend approached, classes were flying like ducks south for the winter. Right after his last class, Nao flew out of the school building and sat on a bench he and Saga had arranged to meet at after classes.
He was sure Hiroto would make another snarky remark about him leaving in such a hurry, Akiya would corner and tease him until Nao spilled that he and Saga were together and Shou would probably be the only one who would stop making embarrassing comments about their relationship after finding out about it – Hiroto and Akiya would most certainly become more cruel.
He started texting his mother, letting her know he won't be home right away – it was Friday after all, it was okay to go somewhere before heading straight home.
After finishing, he turned to his left to put his cell phone in his back pack placed next to him on the bench. An arm was placed over his shoulders and he smiled.
"Hold on."
He dropped the phone – luckily it fell in the backpack – when the arm pulled him against the firm chest attached to it.
"Somebody's impatient."
"I think I've had enough patience with you for a lifetime."
Nao's head snapped to the owner of the voice and he immediately struggled to get out of his grip and get up from the bench. Because he freaked, he couldn't concentrate on his movements and in a few seconds he was pinned down on the bench.
"Let go of me, Ruka!"
"Usually I like people who play hard to get but your playing is starting to get annoying."
Even with Ruka's weight pinning him down, Nao was still struggling to get free.
"Then save the both of us the trouble and leave me alone! You know I am not going to sleep with you!"
Ruka grabbed Nao's hands and pinned them above the brown haired senior's head.
"But you slept with Saga! You slept with that whore." Ruka smirked when Nao's movements stopped. He saw the perfect chance to get his way. "I don't know if I can be as slutty as him but you can imagine you're screwing a whore." His smirk got bigger as he felt Nao's body go limp and he loosened his hold on the other's arms. "If you want..."
He didn't get to finish his statement. Nao couldn't take Saga being belittled like that and when he saw the opportunity to return the favor for when the blonde saved him from Ruka the other day, Nao took it. He released his hands and punched the taller student as hard as he could. It seemed to have been hard enough to send him off the bench and on the ground.
"Don't you dare say anything like that about Saga!" Nao hissed after he sprung to his feet.
"Fuck!" Ruka got up and came closer to Nao, grabbing him by the collar of his shirt. "You little piece of..."
"That's right, Ruka! Force yourself on me! Rape me for all I'm worth! That's the only way you're getting what you want!" the shorter student spat, the glare he was sending Ruka's way not faltering the least bit.
With a last hateful look, Ruka let go of Nao's collar and left him. The brown haired student kept looking after the other, his body tense, still alert. When he couldn't see Ruka anymore, he collapsed on the bench, put his face in his hands and released a long and heavy sigh.
Was that the last time Ruka would bother him? He certainly hoped so. And why did Ruka call Saga a slut? Nao shook his head – it wasn't anything he should think about. Ruka would say anything to bring him and Saga apart.
"Hey there, cutie."
Nao raised his head and smiled at Saga. He was never so happy to see the blonde and he made that obvious by springing to his feet and hugging Saga tightly, burying his face in his chest.
"Somebody's overly happy to see me." Saga laughed as he hugged Nao back.
The other just nodded. Saga was starting to get a bit worried seeing as Nao kept clinging to him and saying nothing.
"Hey, are you alright?" he asked as he started rubbing his boyfriend's back and bent his head to try and get a look at the other's face.
Nao shook his head, face still buried in Saga's chest, and the blonde sighed. He brought Nao down with him on the bench and asked what had happened. With a bit of reluctance, the brown haired teen started retelling what he had been through with Ruka a few minutes prior to Saga's arrival.
"You actually punched him?!" the blonde asked incredulously.
"He kept belittling you! What did you want me to do?!" Nao retorted.
"Easy, Nao. It's okay." Saga wrapped his arms around the shorter teen and rubbed his back soothingly. "Stop shaking – it's okay." he cooed in Nao's ear.
"I'm scared of him, Saga."
Hearing his boyfriend's shaky voice, Saga understood that even if Nao had stood up to Ruka, most likely it wasn't going to be the last time they would have to deal with him and he would be a constant obstacle in their relationship.

The mall was usually a crowded place but on Friday afternoons it was simply packed. Whether it being with families out for a little quality time together, couples going to the movies or teenagers going shopping or just sitting around, everywhere you looked you saw somebody doing something. There wasn't even a free step on the escalators.
"That movie just wasted two hours of my life! You know I hate that."
Hiroto and Akiya were exiting a theater and the shorter of the two didn't seem to be happy. He threw in the rubbish bin what was left of his popcorn and his empty soda can and folded his arms above his head.
"Come on, it wasn't that bad." Akiya defended.
"You're right, it was worse!"
Before Hiroto could take another step, Akiya grabbed his arm and dragged him behind a bench flanked by two large potted plants.
"Who's that coming out of Starbucks?" he whispered and pointed toward the mentioned cafe, specifically to the couple coming out of it.
"That's Nao and Saga! They are so busted." Hiroto sniggered beside Akiya.
"Something is definitely going on between those two. I say we follow them and when they're snogging, jump out. They'll have to admit that they're together then." Akiya plotted.
"That's so immoral! Certainly something a close friend should never do to another. I love it! Let's go!"
The two hidden figures high-fived and slid from one corner to another, hiding behind the occasional husband filled with shopping bags while the wife kept an open eye for more game. They even got booted out of a video game arcade because they were peeking outside, only their heads being seen from the other side of the door. From inside the arcade the picture they were making didn't amuse the owners one bit.

"When I said don't favor me, I wasn't being serious."
Nao's blonde companion started laughing softly and when he saw the pout on the cute face, he encircled Nao's shoulders with an arm and brought his boyfriend closer to his body.
"Well, at least you got your revenge in the second game."
For the past hour they had been bowling, something Nao had always wanted to try but never managed to gather enough people to play. It wasn't fun playing only in two – excepting when he played with Saga. Being with your boyfriend was different.
Nao had told Saga not to play lousy so the shorter teen could win and the blonde listened to him quite well – well enough that Saga beat Nao almost without breaking a sweat. In the second game Nao did win but he exerted himself so much he was certain his arms would be hurting for weeks.
"Yeah, I did but at what price?" Nao mumbled and rubbed his sore arms.
"Aww, poor baby! Maybe a kiss will make it better."
Nao doubted a kiss would make the pain in his arms go away but who was he to refuse such a selfless offer? He accepted wholeheartedly and brought a hand to rest on Saga's shoulder as his other held a bag with what they had bought while in the mall – some funky wooden bracelets, a ring Saga had fallen in love with and a cup Nao wanted the moment he saw that it had a drawing satirizing his coffee addiction.
"I guess you're sharing opinions on poetry this time, too, right?"
They sprang apart and Nao blushed furiously upon seeing Hiroto and Akiya smirking triumphantly at them.
"You sly little devil, you." Hiroto said as he approached Nao and started poking him in the ribs.
"I... I didn't... That is..."
Deciding to save his flushed boyfriend, although seeing him stutter like that was really cute, Saga wrapped Nao in his arms and put on the knight in shinning armor act.
"Yes, we're together. We've been together since Monday."
The two intruders started clapping and cheering, congratulation Nao and Saga and wishing them the best from then on. Nao was a bit surprised that they didn't continue with the teasing but he wasn't complaining. Maybe they would stop with the sexual innuendos that had him as a target. He could handle if they were aimed at someone else.
"Finally decided to pop the question, Saga?"
They turned to the new voice and two faces split into smiles while the others were surprised. Shou was approaching them and gave both Saga and Nao a friendly pat on the back and a big smile.
"What are you doing here? Didn't you go home with Tora... again?" Hiroto crossed his arms over his chest and looked at Shou.
"Yes, I did. But I'm here so I can get him a present for his birthday tomorrow." Before Hiroto or Akiya could say what Shou knew they were going to say, he cut them off. "And no, he doesn't know what I'm doing. I made sure he didn't see me leave."
Hiroto looked skeptical but Akiya patted him on the head and made him forget anything the shorter senior was going to say. Hiroto wasn't one who liked to be treated like a kid and he certainly didn't like anyone making any crack jokes or allusions about his height. That's why Akiya almost got his hand bitten.
"So, what do you want to get him?" Nao asked, figuring he would be the only one who would be willing to speak. His two bickering classmates didn't seem to pay attention to the ones around them anymore and Saga became quiet since Shou said he was looking for a present for Tora.
"I've got a picture I want to have framed." Shou replied and showed Nao the folder he was holding in his hand so the picture wouldn't bend. "And I guess I want to buy a locket or a bracelet, too."
"As long as we're all here, maybe we can come along and give you some ideas. What do you say guys?"
After pulling three noses, they all agreed to Nao's suggestion and spent another hour and a half until they managed to buy what Shou wanted, mainly because he was picky. Adding to that, Hiroto and Akiya almost fainted when they saw how much Shou was willing to pay – and ended up paying – for a bracelet and a locket.
Post Notes:
1. RAWR! Nao shows his muscles! XD
2. For Christmas, a friend of mine bought my desk mate a mug with a giraffe swimming in coffee grains and yelling "Coffee! Coffee!" in pure bliss. XD She's a big coffee addict herself.
