Breakfast didn't seem to have the usual taste. It actually didn't seem to have any taste at all and Shou wasn't inclined to finish it. His mom asked if he was okay and he reassured her he was fine. But was he?
Stumbling in on Tora and Uruha the previous night and going to sleep lulled by Uruha's moans left him feeling a bit empty. He was sure it wasn't because he was disgusted but the real reason eluded him.
Shou went back to his bedroom and noticed he had forgotten to open his window. He kneeled on the bed and with shaky hands grabbed the curtains. He closed his eyes and, taking a deep breath, pulled the curtains to the sides and opened the window, letting the fresh air in.
***
Uruha rolled over and his face scrunched up when he was met with the blinding morning sun. He put his hand over his eyes and sat up in bed, hoping to get away from the light.
"Good morning, sunshine."
He groaned when he heard Tora laugh at him. "Ha ha, you're so funny."
Dropping the hand from his eyes he yawned and looked to his right. Tora was wearing only a pair of loose pants riding quite low on his hips, leaning against the window sill and finishing a cigarette. Uruha got up and hugged Tora, kissing him lazily.
"Good morning, tiger. Last night was great."
He kissed Tora's jaw to show his gratitude and slowly moved to his neck. Out of the corner of his eye he saw movement and he looked more attentively. Uruha smirked when he saw Shou looking straight at them and he thought to let the other know Tora was his property.
Uruha started biting the brunette's neck gently, eliciting soft moans from him. Tora moved his head to give the blonde more access and Uruha gladly took the offer. He moved down Tora's neck to his shoulder, all the while watching Shou's reactions. He moved his hands up Tora's smooth back and dragged his nails over it, making the brunette's body arch forward. He pulled Tora away from the window with a triumphant smirk on his face when he saw Shou look away from them and then leave the window.

"That's it!" Hiroto yelled, throwing papers in the air. "Who are you and what have you done with my friend?" he looked pointedly at Shou.
"What?" Shou blinked, surprised by Hiroto's outburst.
"You're here physically but your mind's a million miles away." Hiroto accused.
"Either that or to the house next door from his." Akiya smirked and got himself a pillow to the face from Shou.
Hiroto sighed gravely. "It's obvious we won't be getting anything done at this rate. Alright, Shou, spill!"
"Spill what?"
"Everything! We got Nao to say he went on a date with Saga yesterday and that he likes him. If he admitted to that why wouldn't you?" Hiroto said as he sat on the floor and crossed his legs under him.
"What's that supposed to mean?!" Nao snapped.
"And what do you want me to admit? That I like him?" Shou huffed.
Hiroto looked him straight in the eye. "Do you?"
"I don't know." Shou sighed and ran his hands through his hair. "I don't know."
***
"Tora! What a nice surprise!"
"Hi, Mrs. Kohara. Um, is Shou home?"
"I'm sorry but he went to Hiroto's. He left this morning."
Tora was glad Shou wasn't home. That way there was a good reason why he wouldn't answer to Tora calling him to his window. The brunette was afraid Shou was still embarrassed or upset with him after what happened the previous night. The last thing Tora wanted was his friendship with Shou to suffer because of his relationship with Uruha.
"Do you know when he'll be back?"
"He's staying the weekend. He said something about rehearsing for the culture festival. I guess he'll be back tomorrow night."
Tora nodded in understanding. He was so used to having Shou around him that every time his friend had something to do which didn't involve the brunette, Tora thought Shou was avoiding him.
"Did you two fall out with each other?" Shou mom asked gently. "You've been such good friends for such a long time – it'd be a pity for everything to end because of a quarrel."
Tora had always loved her soothing voice and the way she always knew what to say to make you feel better. It seemed like it was only yesterday when he and Shou were young and climbing trees in the park. Once, Shou had slipped, broken his leg and Tora was blaming himself for every pang of pain that shot through his friend. It was Shou's mom who had calmed him down, saying that things like that happened to kids and that no one was to blame.
"I completely agree, Mrs. Kohara." Tora smiled. "When Shou comes back, could you tell him I need to talk to him?"
"Of course, Tora. Have a pleasant evening."
***
Silent sniggering could be heard in the room as Akiya, Hiroto and Shou gathered around Nao.
"He's smiling, look at him!" said Hiroto.
"He must be dreaming of Golden Boy." added Akiya and the three sniggered behind their hands. They didn't want to wake Nao from his peaceful dream.
"Guys, he's mumbling something." Shou pointed out when Nao's lips moved softly.
The three friends brought their heads as close as they could to Nao's, hoping to hear what he was saying. He was whispering something but they couldn't make out what.
"Thanks a lot! I had a great time." Nao said as Saga walked him to his door.
"I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. I know I did." Saga smiled charmingly at Nao and the shorter student looked down, blushing. He started playing with the hem of his jacket and nodded to whatever Saga said. "We should do this again." the blonde added.
Nao blushed deeper when he felt Saga's hand on his shoulder, then the kiss on his cheek and forehead.
Hiroto jumped up. "He said..." He was shushed by the others because he was too excited and was speaking really loud. "He said 'Saga'." he said in a hushed voice. "Keep doing that. Maybe we can get more out of him."
Akiya suppressed a snort and continued running his fingers through Nao's hair, massaging his scalp. Not the most ethical way of finding out one's secret but it seemed to show results. Too bad Nao picked that moment to open his eyes. They stared at each other for a minute, blinking from time to time.
"Uh... hi." Hiroto said and waved at Nao. He was the one directly in front of the brown haired senior so he was the first to begin covering his ass from punishment.
Nao blinked a few more times, still staring at Hiroto. "You guys suck."
He got up and hid himself in Hiroto's bathroom. The other three started laughing so hard they fell over, holding their sides. Five minutes later they stopped laughing because of oxygen deprivation but Nao still hadn't come out of the bathroom.
"Nao! Come on, we need to continue rehearsing for the darn play!" Akiya hollered.
"Leave him alone, man. He must have had one hell of a wet dream if he went straight for the bathroom." Hiroto said and the three burst out laughing again.
***
The weekend had been really fun. Shou didn't expect it to be that way but his friends managed to take his mind off what he had seen and heard Friday night. His good mood was short lived when his mother said Tora had asked about him Saturday. He texted his friend to say he had returned and as he waited for a reply, Shou was a bit nervous.
He took off his shirt and jumped when his cell phone beeped and lit up the darkness of his bedroom. He hadn't turned on the light, reasoning he would be there just as he changed and he had enough light from the street lamps outside to do that. He read the message but it wasn't from Tora. It was Yumiko, one of his classmates and the one directing the play for the culture festival – she wanted Shou one hour earlier at school the next day and she would talk to a few teachers to pardon from classes the ones who would be in the play.
Shou heaved a sigh and sat down on the edge of his bed. Why was he so jumpy? Shouldn't he be happy Tora wanted to talk to him? What Hiroto asked him the other day was still weighing on his mind.
A pair of arms wrapped around his waist and Shou yelped, trying to get away from whoever had put his arms around him. In his struggle, Shou ended up facing his attacker and stopped moving when he saw Tora.
"Take it easy. It's me."
"Fuck!" Shou breathed and put his hand over his wildly beating heart. "Don't do that!"
The grip of Tora's arms loosened and he watched Shou trying to catch his breath. He could never explain what came over him – maybe it was the fact that Shou was shirtless, maybe he wanted to realize if he felt something for his friend, maybe he wanted a taste of the forbidden fruit – but he cupped Shou's jaw with his hand and turned his friend's head to face him. The brunette once again found himself drowning in the other's deep eyes and he lost himself.
Shou was never taken by surprise more than the moment he felt Tora's lips on his own. One of the brunette's arms was still around him, cradling his body and the hand that cupped his jaw moved slowly into his hair. Tora's lips started moving against his own and Shou knew the brunette had his eyes closed, enjoying every moment of the kiss. The second he felt a tongue licking his lips, the brown haired teen sprang to his feet and was on the other side of the room.
"Shou..." Tora's voice was quiet and sounded uncertain.
"Tora, please go." Shou replied as he started pacing.
"Shou, I..."
"Please!" Shou raised his voice without wanting. "Just go." he said softer, not looking at his friend.
He heard the rustling of sheets followed by rustling of leaves and was assured Tora had listened to him. He brought his fingers to his lips and emotions started running through him like he had never felt before. He felt his stomach empty and his heart weigh heavy in his chest. Did he do the right thing to send Tora away? Should they have talked? Did he enjoy the kiss, as short lived as it was? Did he like Tora? It didn't seem Shou would get too much sleep that night.
Post Notes:
1. If you thought Uruha was a bitch before what do you think now? XD
2. READ THIS! Okay, Monday school starts. *cries* First order of business: Because of that, updates will be about once a week, at the end of the week – be it Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Second order of business: Since this is my last year of high school (a.k.a. torture year), from March updates will be even scarcer than once a week – they may possibly stop at one point. If I do stop, I will resume posting in summer (July – August, when I will be done with graduation exams and collage admittance). This is the same problem I had while I was writing "Elections of the Heart" but thankfully, I got to finish that story before going on hiatus. Third order of business: HOLY FRIGGIN' CRAP! I STILL HAVE TO WRITE THE SECOND EXTRA LEMON FOR "ELECTIONS"!!!oneone1!!11 X____x
